SELF-ADVOCACY Committee

Self-advocacy is a cornerstone element of the Community Interactions mission. Self-advocates, individuals who receive services from our organization, meet once a month to develop good leadership skills and explore new opportunities for care and activities for to adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health challenges in Pennsylvania and Delaware through self-directed services. During Self-Advocacy Committee meetings, individuals also participate in the policy and decision-making process for Community Interactions, which assists us in better serving them.

The Self-Advocacy Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm at the Swarthmore office.
